It’s Never Too Late to Get a Flu Shot! OHI Schedules Flu Shot Days Dec. 5-9

In recognition of National Influenza Vaccination Week, Ocean Health Initiatives (OHI), a federally qualified health center with locations in Ocean County, will be holding OHI Flu Shot Days for all age groups from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., December 5 through 9 in five locations.

Monday, December 5:        101 Second Street, Lakewood

Tuesday, December 6:        301 Lakehurst Road, Toms River

Wednesday, December 7: 333 Haywood Road, Manahawkin

Thursday, December 8:      686 Route 70, Lakehurst

Friday, December 9:        798 Route 539. Building 3, Little Egg Harbor

The regular flu shot suitable for all ages costs $20. The high dose vaccine for seniors costs $30.

OHI is holding OHI Flu Shot Days to highlight the importance of getting the vaccine, informing patients about the benefits, and reducing the risk of contracting the flu and spreading it throughout the community.  Those who get the shot will receive a special promotional gift.

The Vaccines for Children (VFC) program is a federally funded program that provides vaccines at no cost to children who might not otherwise be vaccinated because of inability to pay.
