Celebrate Manchester Day June 25 – Summer Concert Series Begins
Manchester Township officials and its Recreation Department are inviting the public to celebrate Manchester Day and the start of its summer concert series, Saturday, June 25, 2016, beginning at noon at the Harry Wright Lake, 1501 Lake Road, Whiting, NJ 08759. Parking is free. The rain date is June 26.
Manchester Day, hosted by radio station 100.1 WJRZ and sponsored by North Dover OBGYN, Pine Belt Cadillac, NJ Motor Vehicle Commission, and the River Lady boat cruises, includes free swimming for the day, free rides, games, contests, raffles, prizes, fireworks, live bands, DJ entertainment, vendors, and more.
100.1 WJRZ, the official radio sponsor of the Manchester Concert Series, will be holding contests throughout Manchester Day, and will have games and prizes in their tent. “Julian and Dominque” will perform at 6:00 p.m.; and Tusk, the Fleetwood Mac Tribute band, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.
100.1 WJRZ will kick off Concert Summer Fest 2016 every other Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. on July 13 and 27 and August 10 and 24. Entertainment begins at 6:00 p.m. and includes “Nostalgix” and “Rave On!” July 13; “Gerald Esposito” and the “British Invasion Tribute Band” on July 27; “Jukebox Legends” and “Time Machine” on August 10; and “Sounds of the Streets” and “The Infernos” on August 24. Free bus services are available.
