Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Joins OHI

Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Margaret Cocuzza, Brick, has joined the staff of Ocean Health Initiatives (OHI), a federally qualified health center (FQHC) with locations in Lakewood, Toms River, and Manahawkin.  As a family nurse practitioner, Cocuzza will work with the medical staff to manage all aspects of patient care, including physical exams, diagnosis, treatment and follow up. She will also monitor
protocols to ensure effective patient care and best practice outcomes.

Before working at OHI, Cocuzza was a nurse practitioner at the Minute Clinic of CVS for the Central Jersey region, and the New Jersey State Prison, Trenton, where she was responsible for the adult population there, including such duties as assessment, planning, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.

Cocuzza received her B.S. and M.S. in nursing from Felician College, N.J. During her 24 years of nursing,  she has completed the recommended clinical hours in such areas as pediatrics, medical, women’s
health, and cardiac.  She is a member of American College Nurse Practitioners, American Academy Nurse Practitioners and American Nurses Association of Critical Care.
