Employers Needed for Hire a Veteran Job Fair – Thank Our Veterans with a Job

Posted on September 25, 2011 By

If you are a business or organization seeking well-qualified men and women in the military who have returned home, exhibit tables are still available at the Hire a Veteran Job Fair this November in recognition of Veteran’s Day.

Through the efforts of Toms River dentist Dr. Ron Rotem, Reynolds Marketing, and Greater Media Radio NJ, veterans will have an opportunity to seek employment directly from employers, attend employment-related workshops, and find out about personal services in a Veteran’s Resource Room at the Hire a Veteran Job Fair, Merri-Makers at the PNC Reception Center, Exit 116 off the Garden State Parkway, Holmdel, Wednesday, November 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Exhibit tables are available for $200.00 each to those employers seeking well-qualified men and women in the military who have returned home.  The $200.00 will  be  donated to the G.I. Go Fund, a nonprofit troop support organization that helps military veterans and their spouses find jobs (gigofund.org).  Register online at WRAT.com or MagicVariety.com to reserve a table.  For further information or questions, call Scott at 973-538-1250 x 1355 or hireaveteran@greatermedianj.com.

Because Dr. Rotem understands first-hand the difficulties in transitioning from the  military to civilian life, he and Greater Media Radio NJ have reached out to local military resources, most of whom will be in attendance November 9. Among those military resources are ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve), a Department of Defense organization; Tip Of The Arrow Foundation; the Department of Labor; the National Guard State Family Readiness Council of New Jersey; and the GI Go Fund, all of which help extremely well-qualified men and women in the military who are returning home seek gainful employment.

To encourage participation in the Hire a Veteran Job Fair, Dr. Rotem has agreed to donate 5 percent of the proceeds for dental work of all employees of any participating company for a period of six months to the National Guard State Family Readiness Council. Greater Media Radio, who is one of the top organizers of the Hire a Veteran Job Fair, has also agreed to donate radio airtime to promote the Hire a Veteran Job Fair.
