Join the CareOne Team in the “Walk to End Alzheimer’s”

Team CareOne at Jackson, Jackson, N.J., is inviting the public to join them in the Southern Regional “2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” Saturday, September 29, 2012, beginning at 10:00 a.m., Little Silver Park, Arnold and Baltimore avenues, Point Pleasant Beach. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. All ages welcome.

Samaris Tassinaro, director of marketing at CareOne Jackson, 11 History Lane, Jackson, says, “Our goal is to raise $2500.00 this year to help fight Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death in the United States.” Tassinaro reports that 23 people have already signed up to walk with their team.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, “Currently, more than five million Americans have Alzheimer’s and that number is expected to grow to as many as 16 million by 2050. Our future is at risk unless we can find a way to change the course of this disease.”
