OHI Joins World Read Aloud Day 2015

OHI (Ocean Health Initiatives), a federally qualified health center (FQHC), will celebrate the power of words by participating in World Read Aloud Day, March 4, 2015, at its Ocean County sites.

Bilingual OHI employees will be reading an assortment of children’s books at various times throughout the day to patients in the waiting rooms at 101 Second Street, Lakewood; 301 Lakehurst Road, Toms River; 333 Haywood Road, Manahawkin; and Lakehurst Circle Center II, 686 Route 70 Lakehurst.

Every year on the first Wednesday of March, World Read Aloud Day calls global attention to the importance of reading aloud and sharing stories. World Read Aloud Day is an initiative of LitWorld.org, an organization dedicated to motivating readers all over the world and providing books and resources for underprivileged communities.
