On May 1, 2012, the Quality Inn, 815 Route 37 West, Toms River, N.J., will open its doors as the newly converted Clarion Hotel & Conference Center. But more than the name has changed.

As part of its transition from The Quality Inn to the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center, extensive renovations of its 100 guest rooms have been taking place, including new furniture, new drapes with blackout curtains and sheers, and a new bedding package; flat screen T.V.s, with upgraded programming and 14 new HD channels; and the continuation of refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers in each room. Some rooms even have in-room whirlpool baths.

In addition, the Clarion Hotel & Conference Center has renovated the lobby; continues to offer free high speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel; added a brand new exercise room with all new equipment; and has expanded the business center to include free print, fax and copy services. The meeting rooms and two ballrooms, recently updated, can accommodate up to 500 people.

Other amenities include an outdoor pool; onsite dining in Ike’s Pub & Grill, serving lunch and dinner daily; and a daily breakfast buffet open to the public.

Bob Van Bochove, general manager, says, “We are all very excited about this upgrade for our guests and to our brand.  Our guest response to the hotel changes has been excellent, which aligns us to compete more strongly in our marketplace.”

The Clarion Hotel & Conference Center participates in the Choice Privileges Travel program, in which members earn points for their stays.  The Quality Inn has been a Gold Award Winning Hotel with Choice Brands, for the past 16 years; and has been rated number one for Toms River area hotels on TripAdvisor for the past nine months.
