OHI Now Providing Women’s Health Care Services at ALL Sites

Posted on February 22, 2016 By

With the expansion of comprehensive women’s health services to its Manchester Health Center site, Lakehurst Circle Center II, 686 Route 70, Lakehurst, Ocean Health Initiatives (OHI), a federally qualified health center (FQHC), is now offering women’s health care services at ALL of its health sites in Lakewood, Toms River, Manchester and Manahawkin. OHI’s team of providers include doctors and women’s health nurse practitioners.

Gynecological services include annual exams; cancer screening exams and testing; minor office procedures; and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions that affect women’s health. OHI offers GYN screening exams and testing during annual physicals in its Internal Medicine Department. To ensure that patients receive pre-natal care early during pregnancy, OHI gives free pregnancy testing at all sites and no appointments are required. Patients with a positive test result can see an OB/GYN provider that time.

OHI also provides comprehensive pre-natal services to expectant mothers, including complete pregnancy care, non-stress testing, post-partum care, WIC services on site, and pediatric prenatal visits with the opportunity to meet the newborn’s pediatrician at the last appointment.

Same day appointments are available for prenatal and GYN services, including Saturdays and late evenings. With the recent opening of on-site pharmacies in Manchester and Lakewood, OB/GYN patients can now get prenatal vitamins or oral contraceptives for a minimal cost on the same day as their visit.

For same day appointments, call 732-363-6655. For more information, Kimberly Tozzi, community relations liaison, 732-719-9016.
