Robert C. Novy, Brick, the managing partner of the law firm Novy & Associates, Manchester, recently received the Corporate Leadership Award at the 2014 Humanitarian Gala of Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus (formerly Kimball Medical Center) Foundation, Lakewood.

More than 300 supporters, physicians and staff attended the foundation gala at the Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club, Farmingdale, to honor Dr. Paul C. Hiley, Jane Maroney and Novy – the award recipients for the respective physician, community and corporate leadership honors.

Novy has practiced law in New Jersey since 1976 and is admitted to practice before the Federal District Court of New Jersey and the United States Supreme Court.

He has also served as a member of the New Jersey Commission on Aging; is a member of the New Jersey Alzheimer’s Disease Study Commission; and is a board member of the Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey, a nonprofit organization that helps the elderly and frail by providing friendly visits, shopping, and rides to doctor appointments at no charge.

In addition to serving as a board member of the hospital foundation since 2008, Novy was instrumental in establishing the Legacy and Planned Giving Foundation at Monmouth Medical Center’s Southern Campus, a charitable arm of the hospital that he still chairs.

Novy has received dozens of awards over the years and has been recognized for his philanthropy and community involvement. He and his wife, Catherine, have three adult children.
