A Love Story for the Ages–3 Egg Creams–A Rhapsody in the Rain December 17 at the Strand Theater

Give yourself, your friends, and family a holiday gift this December. See 3 Egg Creams – A Rhapsody in the Rain, THE Urban Love Story for the Ages, a unique, heart-warming play, at the Strand Center for the Arts, 400 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood, on Friday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m.

3 Egg Creams, starring Vince Bandille as Vin Morrone, opens in Abe’s, the soda fountain of his youth, and the place he still returns to every morning for his daily egg cream. Today is different, however, because Vin goes back in time to when he first met Angela Rose Bernstein, his one true love and the love he turned away from. But what if life offered him a second chance? Would he embrace it or run a second time? What would you do?

Written and directed by award-winning playwright George Cameron Grant with Story Editor Debbie Saccomanno, 3 Egg Creams – A Rhapsody in the Rain is inspired by and features the timeless music of the legendary Lou Christie.

Federico Castelluccio (Furio from The Sopranos) raved, “Brilliant writing, brilliant acting — A GREAT PLAY!”

Theatre critic Angela Hatcher wrote, “‘A Bronx Tale’ meets ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ 3 Egg Creams is an imaginative and deeply moving love story that immediately grabs the audience from the kookiness of teenage love to the deep connection of love everlasting. It finds urban love too strong a love to break but too delicate to hold on to – until it isn’t. Occasionally, a story comes along that reminds us to love each other. 3 Egg Creams is one of those stories.”

Admission is $35; tickets for senior citizens and veterans are $20 each. For tickets and information, visit www.strand.org. or 3EggCreams.com. For an additional $25.00, enjoy a buffet dinner prepared by Chef David Silverman of David’s Culinary Delights at 5:00 p.m. Eggs Creams will definitely be available!
