Christmas Spectacular at the Strand Dec. 11
Enjoy holiday songs everyone knows and loves, dance numbers, costume changes, comedy sketches, and fun surprises at The Wag’s Christmas Spectacular, an old-fashioned holiday special, Saturday night, December 11 at The Strand Theater, 400 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood.
Gary Schiavone, executive director of the Strand, said, “The Wag’s sense of humor and their homemade props and costumes are worth the price of admission alone!”
The show also features a running theme of “Christmas Around the World.” There will be holiday songs and sketches from Ireland, Germany, Spain, and more! The four-piece New Jersey Wags band has been entertaining audiences for more than 23 years with four lead vocalists, catchy melodies, and sophisticated harmonies. Orchestra tickets are $25.00; Loge, Mezzanine, and Tier tickets are $20.00. Doors open at 6:30; show begins at 7:30 p.m. The Box Office is always open two hours before every show for tickets. The COVID policy is proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test 72 hours prior to door time. All patrons are required to wear a mask at all times unless eating or drinking. Those under 12 are not required to show a test but must wear a mask.
About the Strand Theater: The historic Strand Theater, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit at 400 Clifton Ave., Lakewood, was designed by world-renowned theater architect Thomas Lamb in 1922 and is listed on the N.J. and National Register of Historic Places.
