Can you help this family by attending an event or by giving a GoFundMe donation? Marisa Maltese, mother of six-year-old twins Noah and Gabriel Rosado who were born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, is in need of a wheelchair-accessible van. Modifications to make her vehicle wheelchair accessible have not been possible.

Maltese said, “No way are we able to afford such an expensive necessity. Every day we carry our children to my vehicle where I drive them to school, take out the wheelchairs in the back of my van, put them together, and wheel them into school. When the bus drops them off at the end of the day, my husband carries the wheelchairs back into the house, disassembles them, and puts them back into my car for the routine to happen again the following day.”

The family is trying to get is a Ram Tempest Pro Master, a necessity in their situation. This vehicle also has a lay-down backseat to privately change the boys inside if they are out on a day trip, a doctor’s appointment, church, or just going for a ride around with the family.

Friends and family are hosting at fundraiser on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for the family at Zi Marie’s Original Pizzeria Trattoria, 730 Jamaica Blvd, Plaza One Mini Mall, Toms River.
