Employment Laws and Benefits-April 13 Webinar Update

What are the employment and benefit issues that have evolved over the past month as the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape brings new challenges and questions for employers?

On Monday, April 13 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources (JSAHR) is hosting a free webinar for members only that will focus on new federal and state regulations.
The presentation, with a question and answer session, will include:

The CARES Act – Understanding key provisions of this legislation and the aspects of the bill that have been clarified since its enactment; The Paycheck Protection Program – Understanding eligibility, loan calculation, use of loan funds, and the loan forgiveness process; New Jersey’s Executive Order 119 Impact on Earned Sick Leave, Temporary Disability, and Family Leave; discussion of updated guidance on the Family First Coronavirus Response Act and other COVID-19 related issues; Laid off/furloughed employees: What are the contractual allowances for each coverage for the requirement of employees being “Actively at Work” in order to be eligible; When to move employees to COBRA/Continuation in the light of their employment status; Medical contribution best practices during furlough periods; How insurance carriers are addressing the costs of COVID testing and treatments; and the Impact of waiting periods on employees re-enrolling in insurance plans after returning to work.
