Housing Expo – Sharing Solutions in This Current Housing Crisis
Solutions to End Poverty Soon, also known as STEPS, in partnership with Lakewood Resource & Referral Center (LRRC) and the New Jersey State Conference NAACP, will be hosting a Housing Expo on August 16, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Willingboro Senior Center, 429 John F. Kennedy Way, Willingboro, New Jersey 08046.
The Housing Expo will feature representatives from federal, state, and local agencies together with community leaders and housing professionals who will provide resources and information as well as strategies to address the current housing crisis in our state.
STEPS Executive Director Michael McNeil, who also is the Housing Chair of the New Jersey State Conference NAACP, said, “Of course there is not a ‘quick fix’ to this housing crisis; but we are an advocate for people to have basic living necessities. By providing tools and arming residents of the community with knowledge, we will assist them in alleviating this increasing dilemma, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for many residents throughout New Jersey.”
Admission to the Housing Expo is free, but registration is required to assure seating. Lunch will be provided. Registration gives the community at large entry to an exceptional event created by STEPS, LRRC and the NJSC NAACP.
