Imagine Lakewood in Its Hotel and Entertainment Heyday with “A Night at the Cabaret”

What was Lakewood, N.J., like in the 1960s – the era of countless hotels and star hotel musicians who made Lakewood a destination vacation resort that challenged the Catskills in appeal?

Meet some of the musicians and entertainers at “A Night at the Cabaret” as Jimmy Givens, the last of the Lakewood hotel musicians, takes you back in time with audio and visual images, recreating what life was like in the hotels in the ‘60s through the ‘70s on Sunday, June 3, 2018, in the auditorium at the Sheldon Wolpin Lakewood Historical Museum, Pine Park, at 2:00 p.m. Please note, the auditorium is not wheelchair accessible at this time.

Tickets cost $50.00 each, include refreshments, and will benefit the continuing renovation of the museum. Parking is free. Seating is limited.

For reservations, contact Robin at rwellet@aol.com or 732-330-5384. The Lakewood Historical Society, a 501(c)(3), and the Lakewood Heritage Commission are sponsoring “A Night at the Cabaret.” Museum doors open at 1:00 p.m.
