Lakewood Chamber Hosts Webinar- NJ Paid Family & Medical Leave during COVID – What Employers Should Know
So exactly what is covered and what is not covered? The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce is hosting a free Webinar for all employers, NJ Paid Family & Medical Leave during COVID-19 – What Employers Should Know in collaboration with the Newark Regional Business Partnership and sponsored by N.J. Natural Gas (NJNG) on Tuesday, June 29 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Experts from the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development (NJDOL) will give a brief overview of NJ Earned Sick Leave and NJDOL’s key COVID-19 resources. They will also cover such topics as which employers are covered under NJ Paid Family & Medical Leave laws; which employees are eligible for NJ Paid Family & Medical Leave; what are the covered reasons for taking these benefits; what is the employer’s role in NJ Paid Family & Medical Leave; and how job protection laws relate to these programs. A question and answer session is included.
