“Let’s Talk about Your Knees” Dr. Nasar Presents a Free Seminar

Dr. Alan Nasar, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute (AOSMI) who is fellowship-trained in joint replacement, is giving “Let’s Talk about Your Knees,” a free seminar for the public about the advances in the treatment of knee pain and arthritis on Thursday, May 26, 2011, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Conference Center, Room B, of the Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus of CentraState Medical Center, 901 W. Main St., Freehold.

During the seminar, Dr. Nasar will explain minimally invasive knee replacement, gender specific options, and patient specific custom knee technology. Learn about the latest advances for knee pain and what causes that knee pain in the first place. A question and answer period will follow.

Dr. Alan Nasar, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute, is a member of the AMA (American Medical Association), and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Nasar holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Cooper Union for the Advancement of Art and Science, New York City, where he received specialized training in biomechanics and biometrics.  He received his M.D. from the medical school of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed surgical internships in general surgery and orthopaedic surgery at the State University of New York – Stony Brook Hospital, and adult reconstructive surgery at Desert Orthopaedic Center, Las Vegas, Nevada.
