Posted on December 2, 2016 By

Jason A. Canzano, managing director of Acelleron Medical Products, 16 High Street, Suite 201, North Andover, Massachusetts, has accepted a board position with Home Medical Equipment and Services (HOMES) Association of New England, a regional trade association for providers of home medical equipment and supplies, home oxygen and infusion therapy, and complex rehabilitation technology, covering all of New England.

Being a board member of HOMES will enable Canzano to make deeper connections in the home medical equipment (HME) industry, and gain the latest information on federal and state government regulations, and reimbursement guidelines.

Canzano joined Acelleron Medical Products in 2013 when Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services, with headquarters in Eatontown, N.J., acquired Acelleron. As managing director, Canzano finds new business opportunities in and outside of the HME industry, manages the daily operations, and oversees Maternal Health & Wellness, a company Acelleron acquired in 2014. Maternal Health & Wellness provides resources to pregnant women and their families, such as education, yoga and fitness, and support.

Canzano says, “On my first day at Acelleron we started receiving calls from expecting moms wanting a breast pump. With the pumps suddenly covered by insurance under the Affordable Care Act that went into effect on January 1, 2013, we went from providing one breast pump a month to recently 3,500 a month.”

Canzano earned his B.S. degree in marketing from Providence College, Rhode Island, in 2000 and worked in the financial industry for 12 years. Canzano is a chartered market technician. He is a member of Leadership Seacoast, a volunteer leadership organization dedicated to developing knowledgeable and engaged leaders.
