OHI to Participate in Stafford Township Founders Day “Stafford for Shore, Recovering Together”
OHI (Ocean Health Initiatives), a federally qualified health center (FQHC) with offices in Lakewood, Toms River and Manahawkin, will be joining Stafford Township residents to celebrate Stafford Township Founders Day at Manahawkin Lake Park, Saturday, June 8, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The theme is “Stafford for Shore, Recovering Together.”
OHI’s MMU (Mobile Medical Unit), a 40-foot handicapped accessible mobile medical van, will be in the parade, which begins at 10:00 a.m. at the firehouse and will proceed down Stafford Avenue, heading north on Route 9 to Oxycocus Road.
Festivities following the parade include opening ceremonies, craft and food vendors, local businesses, entertainment by the Mott’s Creek Pickers, Little Miss Stafford and Little Town Crier Contests, pony rides and games for children. The rain date is June 9.
The public is invited visit OHI’s mobile medical van during Founders Day to get information about its medical services for uninsured and underinsured families in Ocean County.
