Preparing, Responding, and Recovering from Active Shooter Events October 13

Posted on September 28, 2022 By

Employers are required to provide a safe workplace for staff. Unfortunately active shooter incidents have become part of the workplace landscape. Preparing an active shooter response plan should be part of every employer’s policy and procedure manual.

A pre-incident checklist, a response plan, and a post-incident plan will be presented by Jim Bruncati, an authority in this area, at the meeting of JSAHR (Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources) professionals, open to the public, on Thursday, October 13 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune.

In this session, participants will learn how to complete the Active Shooter Checklist; how to document and list an appropriate Active Shooter response to an event; and how to prepare a post-incident plan for assisting employees.
Registrations are due by Friday, October 7 online at: http://jsahr.shrm.org/events
or admin@jsahr.org or call JSAHR at 732-701-7155.

Registration including breakfast is $35 for JSAHR members; $50 for non-members; $25 for each guest and those in-transition; and $10 for students with a valid ID.

JSAHR is a SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) affiliated chapter. This program is pending one (1) SHRM PDC and one (1) HRCI (Human Resource Certification Institute) recertification credit.
