Strand Theater Seeks Gift Basket Donations for Holiday Fundraiser
Board members of the historic Strand Center for the Arts, 400 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood, New Jersey, are inviting businesses to donate items for its annual holiday Gift Basket Silent Auction to help raise funds for the theater, Strand Ventures, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit responsible for the operation of the theater.
Donations of a gift basket or items, such as coupons, gift certificates, and hand-crafted articles suitable for inclusion in gift baskets are tax deductible. All gift baskets will be displayed at the Strand throughout the holiday season during which several thousand patrons will be attending events this December.
Some of the events that will give people and their companies brand exposure include The Brick Children’s Community Theater group who will be presenting Disney’s ELF, Jr. with four performances on December 4, 5 and 6; The Riddlesbrood Theater Company, who will present A Christmas Carol with four performances on December 11, 12 and 13; Monmouth Dance Company who will present the Nutcracker Ballet on December 18 and 19; and the Atlantic City Ballet who will present the Nutcracker on December 22. The Irish Christmas concert is scheduled for December 10.
Winners will be selected on December 22 after the performance of the Nutcracker by Atlantic City Ballet with the Garden State Philharmonic. Winners do not have to be present.
