What’s Next for HR? June Meeting of HR Group

Posted on May 25, 2011 By

Some HR professionals have begun to see their jobs differently and to engage with employees in a different manner, realizing that job security is an illusion.

Dr. Lucille Maddalena, a coach, trainer, and consultant with more than 25 years in human resource management, will present ways HR professionals can stop “selling” HR and start facilitating without taking sides at the Thursday, June 9, 2011, meeting of Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources (JSAHR), 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., Jumping Brook Country Club, 210 Jumping Brook Road, Neptune, N.J.

Dr. Maddalena’s presentation will help attendees understand the market and their competition, learning to trust team involvement and shared contribution. Dr. Maddalena says, “You can’t protect your job or anyone’s job. Accept change and risk: Lead, grow and contribute by sharing your skills and knowledge.”

The registration fee and a full buffet breakfast is $25.00 for JSAHR members; $35.00 for nonmembers; and an additional $5.00 for walk-ins. To register, call Kathi Evans, JSAHR administrator, at 732-244-8892 or e-mail jsahradmin@atbcelebrations.com. JSAHR is a Superior Merit Award Chapter of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management).
