You Don’t Have to Call Pauly Walnuts to Get Paid! Attorney Jeff Gerstenblatt to Speak at JSBL Breakfast Meeting

Lakewood attorney Jeffrey Gerstenblatt will present “How to Get Paid without Calling Pauly Walnuts,” a talk about the facts and fiction of collections, at a breakfast meeting of Jersey Shore Business Leaders (JSBL) Tuesday, October 22, 2013, from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Atlanta Bread, 1042 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Brick, N.J. 08723. Admission is $10.00 and includes an assortment of breakfast foods.

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Mamma Mare Foundation, a New Jersey-based breast cancer foundation started in 2010 after Krista Kasper lost her mother Mary Ellen Pernice, known to many as Mama Mare, to Stage 4 breast cancer. (

Gerstenblatt, a graduate of Freehold High School, earned a B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Camden in 1988. He served as law clerk to four Superior Court Judges: the Honorable Donald Campbell, the Hon. Rosalie B. Cooper, the Hon. Edward Turnbach, and the Hon. Bernard Kannen. Gerstenblatt opened his own law practice in Lakewood in 1995.

He serves as an early settlement panelist and civil mediator for divorce cases in Ocean County. He is a member of the Ocean County, Monmouth County, and New Jersey Creditors Bar associations and the Small Practice Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association.

Gerstenblatt serves on the cooperate leadership council of the American Cancer Society. He is a former board member and volunteer for the New Jersey chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, and a member of Brick Kiwanis having served as its secretary and president. Gerstenblatt received the George Hixson award for outstanding service to Kiwanis in 2005. He is an advocate for the adoption of animals and adopted his cat Briscoe in 2009 from the Monmouth County S.P.C.A.
