All Chemical, in the Lakewood Industrial Park at 1975 Rutgers University Blvd, Lakewood, NJ, a highly regulated DOT (Department of Transportation) trucking company, is celebrating its 45th anniversary. When founder Steve Quadrel started All Chemical in 1978, he modeled the company after the guiding values of his family business, Quadrel Brothers, an early leader in the bulk liquid transportation industry.
From its Lakewood, New Jersey headquarters, All Chemical operates across six states with a dedicated team of more than 150 employees. Their fleet is made up of 306 tankers, 143 ISO container chassis, 127 tractors, and six container lifts, all situated on a vast 20-plus acre storage facility. The company’s commitment to excellence is further highlighted by the debut of several key service offerings in honor of this significant milestone.
In keeping with their steadfast commitment to eco-conscious initiatives, All Chemical strategically established a storm water retention basin adjacent to a solar farm, providing additional storage capacity. Two new wash bays were also unveiled this fall, expanding their capabilities to include specialized washes for heavy, oil-based products, diesel, food-grade, and a variety of Kosher-certified washes, making All Chem one of the few kosher carriers in New Jersey.
To enhance their green initiatives, All Chemical introduced a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility. Equipped with cutting-edge processes, technology and equipment, this facility separates heavy particles from wastewater, demonstrating the company’s dedication to environmental protection, resource conservation, and public health.

All Chemical’s dedication extends to their workforce, available 24/7, 365 days a year, with on-call reserve employees for emergencies. As a trusted partner for essential services, their team undergoes rigorous vetting for work with the Department of Defense, nuclear power plants, and water treatment facilities. Drivers are CDL-certified with Hazardous Materials Endorsement (HME) and Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC), ensuring the highest standards in safety and security.
Drivers have to be trained, finger printed, and undergo security background checks because of HAZMAT. DOT carriers haul containers that have liquid bulk — hazardous and nonhazardous – from oil to shampoo to apple juice, among many other liquids. They do not carry any finished product.
