Bearing Hope Foundation Launches New Website

Posted on June 9, 2021 By

The Bearing Hope Foundation announced the launch of its website www.bearinghope.org. This New Jersey nonprofit was started by the Vogel Family to bring some comfort and companionship to children going through a traumatic event by holding a “Bears We Care,” special event each year during which teddy bears for children are built and delivered to Children’s Hospitals and Law Enforcement Organizations.

The Bearing Hope Foundation has several initiatives in mind for the future. In addition to “Bears We Care,” their goal is to give four scholarships each year to those who want to advance their education and training in the field of Public Health.

The Foundation also designed “Giving Back for Life,” a program to help cover cleanup costs to families of First Responders and Veterans who have lost their lives to suicide.

The Vogel family, with their help and several other business associates, started donating bears in 2018. With enough monetary support, they are hoping to expand this foundation to help as many others as possible. The new website will provide their goals and information about the nonprofit, donating, and volunteering.

New Rotem Dental Building on Route 37 West to Open This June

Posted on June 7, 2021 By

By the end of June, Rotem Dental Care will be moving into a newly designed building at 180 Route 37 West, Toms River, more than doubling the size of its current space and practice.

Although Rotem Dental Care has been at 355 Lakehurst Road, Toms River, since 2002, the current building could not handle the newer technologies coming out in dentistry.

Dr. Ron Rotem said, “We no longer had enough power to upgrade to newer equipment, and the parking has become very limited. With the heavy reliance on the internet for constant data exchange, we realized it was time to create our almost ideal practice.”

In the new building, the treatment rooms are designed more ergonomically causing less physical strain to the doctors and assistants. Other improvements include expanded appointment availability for evenings and Saturdays; the most upgraded technology and enhancements possible in dentistry; and an on-premises lab that will allow more in-house treatment for patients, eliminating the need to send them elsewhere.

Rotem Dental Care offers its patient such cutting edge procedures as implants, dentures, sleep apnea treatment, sedation dentistry, invisalign, cosmetic technique; and scanning technology, among other procedures.

Through the years, Dr. Ronen Rotem has generously donated his time, his energy, and his money to educate children and parents; and help the needy, especially the families of children who have cancer. All of his projects focus on helping others!

Some of his projects through the years have included replacing all the back-to-school supplies Big Brothers Big Sisters were going to donate but had been wiped out by Sandy; participating in Ocean of Love Fundraisers with boat cruises and a Smiles for Life teeth whitening campaign; presenting programs about dental health and good practices to elementary children; Halloween Candy Buy-Back contests that benefit military troops, teachers, and children; and Smile of Your Life Dental Makeover contest, among many others.

For more information call Rotem Dental Care at 732-341-8500 or visit www.rotemdentalcare.com.

About Rotem Dental Care and Dr. Ron Rotem: Dr. Ron Rotem earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from New York University College of Dentistry in 1991. Much of Dr. Rotem’s state-of-the-art training took place at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies where he continues to study under some of the top dentists in the field of sedation. Dr. Rotem has completed such course levels as Full Mouth Reconstruction, which has been completed by less than one per cent of dentists nationwide.

The primary focus of Rotem Dental Care at 335 Lakehurst Road is in the areas of cosmetic and implant dentistry, and an offer of sedation dentistry. As a child, Dr. Rotem was inspired to be a dentist by his family dentist who always made certain visits were comfortable. Dr. Rotem thinks of each patient as a guest who deserves personal and individualized attention in an atmosphere as comfortable as that of their own home.

Hours of Rotem Dental Care: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday hours will resume in the near future.

June 10 Online HR Meeting Featuring Author Anthony Ianni Former Star Basketball Player

Posted on May 20, 2021 By

Don’t let others determine who you will be! Jersey Shore Association for Human Resources (JSAHR) is hosting motivational speaker, author, and former star basketball player for the Michigan State Spartans Anthony Ianni at a virtual webinar open to the public, on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 8:45 to 10:00 a.m.

Ianni proved a lot of authorities wrong. At age of four, he was diagnosed with Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD), which is on the Autism Spectrum (ASD). Doctors and specialists told Ianni’s parents that he would barely graduate from high school, would never graduate from college, would never have a shot at being an athlete, and would likely live in a group institution with other Autistic kids for his adult life. His family was devastated but pledged they would help Anthony be successful no matter what.

Since then, Ianni has had a successful academic and athletic basketball career as an MSU Spartan, including a two-time Big Ten Champion, a Big Ten Tournament Champion, and a member of the 2010 Final Four Team. He also won the 2011 Tim Bograkos Walk On award and the 2012 Unsung Player award.

His message? Never give up on your dreams. In his talks, Ianni also talks about bullying in the workplace and school, and raises awareness about Autism. He is the author of the forthcoming book, Centered – Autism, Basketball and One Athlete’s Dream, available now for pre-order on Amazon.

The sponsor of JSAHR’s June meeting is Joan Burney from Allaire Community Farm, Wall, a non-profit that supports adults with developmental disabilities, Veterans with PTSD, at-risk teens, and families struggling with cancer.

Register by emailing Christine Higgins at admin@JSAHR.org. Log in details will be sent to registrants. The fee is $10.00 for members; $20.00 for non-members; and free for students and those In-Transition. Send fees prior to meeting to JSAHR, P.O. Box 987, Brick, NJ 08723.
This program is pending 1.0 HRCI (Human Resource Certification Institute) and SHRM PDC recertification credits. JSAHR is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits.
