Ed Hopkins, former VP of J&J, Featured Speaker at JSBL’s Meeting

Edward Hopkins, the former VP of Johnson & Johnson, is the featured business speaker at the Wednesday, May 23 meeting of Jersey Shore Business Leaders (JSBL). Enjoy an evening of business networking, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Spano’s White Sands, 1205 Ocean Avenue, Pt. About Edward J. Hopkins

Edward Hopkins is currently the president and founder of Captain Knoll’s, LLC, a 2010 startup company that markets accessory products. The company began with one product, a soap for fishermen, and is now positioned to becoming a multi-national developer and marketer of giftware products across a broad spectrum of adult activities, including fishing, golf, tennis, etc.

Hopkins started his career at Johnson & Johnson after completing B.A. and JD at Seton Hall University. While at J&J, he earned an MBA in marketing. During his 18 years at J&J, Hopkins held a variety of general management positions, primarily in operations and marketing. He eventually became Vice President of sales and marketing in the company’s pharmaceutical business.

After he left J&J, Hopkins became vice president and then president of International Hydron Corporation, a world leader in the development and marketing of contact lenses. Hopkins lived for four years in The People’s Republic of China while running Hydron’s Asia Pacific businesses.
