OHI (Ocean Health Initiatives), an Ocean County federally qualified health center, is hosting “Make a Healthy Difference, ” its 2nd annual Valentine’s Day cocktail hour, dinner dance and silent auction Friday, February 10from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. at Eagle Ridge Golf Club, 2 Augusta Boulevard, Lakewood, N.J.

Tickets are $100 per person. The proceeds will be used toward OHI’s mission of providing affordable, accessible healthcare to Ocean County seniors, adults and children who are uninsured and underinsured residents. Sponsorships, donations, journal ads, items for the gift auction, and premium ticket packages are available.

Shawn Michaels and Sue Moll from WOBM 92.7’s Ocean County Breakfast Show are the emcees. Besides a silent auction, the evening will feature a 50/50 raffle and a drawing for a chance to win a pair of diamond earrings.  The winner of last year’s 50/50 raffle took home more than $1,000.  The winner does not have to be present.

The increasing number of Ocean County families needing access to healthcare has resulted in OHI’s growth from one community health center in Lakewood to two more health centers in Toms River and Stafford. In 2011, OHI provided more than 79,000 patient visits to medically underserved families in Ocean County, including the delivery of 1,000 newborns and over 10,000 same day appointments.

All donations and contributions are tax deductible. For further information or tickets, contact Jennifer Corey, marketing coordinator, at 732-719-9026 or jcorey@ohinj.org.
