Holman Frenia Allison, PC (HFA) Celebrates Its 25th Anniversary and a Move to Lakewood

Holman Frenia Allison, PC (HFA), a full-service certified accounting and advisory firm that serves government agencies, authorities, not-for-profit organizations, commercial businesses, construction companies, and individuals celebrated its 25th year in business and a move of its headquarters to 1985 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Suite 3, Lakewood, from 680 Hooper Avenue in Toms River. All phone numbers have stayed the same.

Sarah Snell, CPA and Chief Operating Officer, said, “The move was for expansion. We outgrew the old office a few years ago, and we wanted a new office that could provide ample space for our 65+ employees as well as serve as a central location for in-house conferences and future events.”

Mayor Ray Coles said, “We welcome HFA, a first-class accounting firm, to Lakewood. We’re proud that many businesses have continued to move here; and that our outstanding Industrial Park, the second largest in the State, has continued to grow with quality businesses, such as HFA.”

For 25 years, HFA has been recognized for its diligence and commitment to the betterment of local communities, including the “HFA Cares” Initiative, which have included blood drives; providing holiday gifts for families in Monmouth, Ocean, and Burlington counties; volunteering at local food pantries; and most recently hosting a Punch-A-Thon to raise money for a young local child with Leukemia, among others.

HFA employees also give back to communities on a monthly basis. For example, employees collected slightly used shoes in April and donated them to a school in Monmouth County where the student collecting them received hours towards her honors program. In May, employees participated in Punch-A-Thon and a Walk for Cystic Fibrosis. In January, they collected children’s books and donated them to a pre-school; and in February they collected handmade cards for Seniors.

HFA is member of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce; the Toms River, Pt. Pleasant, Southern Ocean County, Jackson, and Jersey Shore chambers; and the Monmouth Ocean Development Council (MODC). HFA is also a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA), AICPA (American Institute of CPAs), and the Registered Municipal Accountants Association.

Among the firm awards, HFA received recognition from NJBIZ as one of the Top 50 Accounting Firms. HFA also received the MODC Silver Gull Award for Community Service in 2019 and the CIANJ (Commerce & Industry Assoc. of N.J.) Champions of Good Works Award in 2018.

Menashe Miller, executive director of the Lakewood Chamber and Deputy Mayor of Lakewood, said, “We are very proud that Chamber member HFA has moved to Lakewood. We wish them a very happy 25th anniversary and many more years of success.”

HFA partners and those in management hold many volunteer positions. HFA President Robert Allison is president of the board of directors for the Asbury Park Theater Co.; serves on Lead New Jersey’s board of trustees; is a member/volunteer of Algonquin Arts; a member of Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of the Jersey Shore, and a volunteer at Allaire Community Farm. HFA Chairman and VP Craig Johnson is a board member of the Jackson Township Historic Preservation Foundation and the Jackson Kiwanis Club.
