Largest HR Conference and Expo Begins October 19 in Atlantic City
The 23rd annual GSC-SHRM (Garden State Council – Society for Human Resource Management) Conference & Expo, the largest Human Resource educational and networking event for HR professionals in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware is set to take place Sunday, October 19 through Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at the Sheraton, in the Atlantic City Convention Center, Atlantic City, N.J. This year’s conference theme is “Be an HR Superhero.”
Keynote speakers include the Sunday opening session speaker, Kris Dunn, a social media HR executive, “The Nine Faces of HR”; on Monday, Michael Weber, the founder of the Leadership Institute, “Breaking the Unwritten Rules”; and the well-known Elizabeth Smart, “My Story.” Smart, the closing keynote speaker on Tuesday, is a child safety advocate who was the survivor of being abducted as a child.
The Conference includes about 75 breakout sessions led by top local and national speakers, special mega-sessions, and more than 65 conference sponsors. Sponsors and service providers are available to help attendees gain additional knowledge and support. Areas of focus during the conference are diversity and inclusion, talent management, professional development, organizational development and strategic HR, legal compliance, and total rewards.
