Support the Strand Center for the Arts by Eating at Any Surf Taco

Posted on August 15, 2012 By

You don’t have to travel south of the border to eat Mexican food and support the Strand Center for the Arts at the same time.  Eat at any New Jersey Surf Taco, Sunday, September 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 20 percent of the check will be donated to the Strand Center for the Arts. Diners must present the flyer that announces this fundraiser.

Download the flyer at www.strand.org or email Barbara Fedorchak at bfedorchak@strand.org.  Surf Taco restaurants (www.surftaco.com) can be found in Point Pleasant, Belmar, Silverton, Long Branch, Manasquan, Jackson, Forked River, and Red Bank.

A portion of the proceeds raised will be used for restoring the marquee at Strand Center for the Arts, 400 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood. For more information, contact Barbara Fedorchak at 732-367-7789 Ext. 217.

About the Strand Center for the Arts

The Strand will be celebrating its 90th anniversary this October. Designed by world-renowned theater architect Thomas Lamb, the Strand opened in 1922. Listed on both the New Jersey and National Registers of Historic Places, the Strand hosts up to 50,000 patrons each year and presents popular musicals, orchestral performances, children’s shows, and local entertainment. The Strand also offers educational opportunities for our youth through its well-regarded School for the Arts.
