WRAT to Crown the 2016 Rat Rock Calendar Cover Girl, Friday, Jan 8
No mistake about it! Greater Media Radio Station, 95.9 WRAT will announce the winner of the Rat Rock Calendar Cover Girl Search, at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Stone Pony, 913 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park, N.J. The winner will receive $5,000 and be featured on the cover of the 2016 Rat Rock Calendar. The other finalists will represent a month of the year in the calendar.
Beginning in October, WRAT had solicited submissions from women to send in professional or amateur photos to be considered for inclusion in the 2016 Rat Rock Girl Calendar. From all submissions, listeners voted at wrat.com for the 12 finalists.
The final round of voting has determined the 2016 calendar cover girl, who will win $5,000 and a photo shoot with legendary Rock photographer, Mark Weiss, whose claim to fame was shooting the cover of Bon Jovi’s Slippery When Wet album cover and other iconic photographs in Rock’s history.
All 12 finalists will be at the Stone Pony, signing copies of the 2016 Rat Rock Girl calendars that will be distributed for free. Attendees can also stay to see Splintered Sunlight, a Grateful Dead cover band, which is cover-free until 8:00 p.m.
