Strand Theater Shows for February, March, and April Not to Be Missed!
The Strand Center for the Arts, 400 Clifton Avenue, Lakewood, is featuring several shows not to be missed. Sing along with all of your favorite Carpenter songs on February 11 at 8:00 p.m. with “The Carpenters Remembered – We’ve Only Just Begun,” featuring Michelle Berting Brett. Show begins at 8:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy all your favorite Motown songs on March 18 with “Dr. K’s Motown Songs.” The Vegas Bee Gees tribute recreates the look and sound of the Bee Gees from the 60’s to the late 70’s, with their unique falsettos that made them legends. John Acosta as Barry Gibb has performed in Bee Gees Tributes all over the world. His portrayal of lead singer Barry Gibb from the look to the falsetto sounds just like Barry! Show begins at 8:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m.
“The Wag’s 25th Anniversary & Album Release Show” will be held at the Strand Theater on March 25 at 7:00 p.m. Hailing from the Bayshore area of New Jersey, this four-piece unit has been entertaining audiences for 25 years with pop/rock, featuring four alternating lead vocalists, catchy melodies, and sophisticated harmonies. The Wag is celebrating 25 years as a performing and recording band with an long-awaited official album release being held at the Strand Theater “Blue Bottles and Copper Coins.” The new album will be performed in its entirety, along with selected tunes spanning their 25 year career. Special guests Morningside Lane and Lisa Bouchelle will open the show and join in again for the finale. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
“The Bronx Wanderers” will perform at the Strand on April 21. The Bronx Wanderers, made up of a father, his two sons, and their two high school friends, have been wowing audiences around the globe for 18 years. They have had a residency in Las Vegas since 2016, currently headlining at Westgate Resort and Casino where Elvis Presley performed. Show begins at 8:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The show revolves around Father, Vinny’s music career in the record business and features songs from many of the stars recorded and produced, including Dion, Tony Orlando, The Jersey Boys, and Billy Joel just to name a few. Their show is in the top five out of 211 shows in Las Vegas. They have won the Best of Las Vegas Awards 12 times, and were just inducted into the East Coast Music Hall of Fame.
When she was eight, Linda Shields discovered her gift as a medium and became The Jersey Shore Medium in her twenties. A Medium Gallery Show with Linda Shields, The Jersey Shore Medium® will be at the Strand Theater, April 22. Show begins at 7:00 p.m.; doors open at 6:00 p.m.
